Montecristo Rum

From the legendary name in cigars comes a new legend: Montecristo Rum, a premium blend of 12 to 23-year-old rums aged in American oak barrels. The partners of Sidebar Spirits, LLC of Las Vegas, Tim Haughinberry, and brothers Michael Frey and Robert Frey, sampled rums in several countries before discovering the rum that would bear the Montecristo brand, a spirit hand-blended by master distillers from a centuries old Guatemalan recipe. The rum is aged in American oak barrels once used for Kentucky’s finest bourbons, lending Montecristo Rum its vanilla and honey overtones, rich velvety texture and natural amber color.

Montecristo Rum seeks to live up to its title “Best Rum of 2002” by Wine & Spirits Magazine, filling the burgeoning niche created by the demand for premium rum cocktails and other trendy concoctions, in addition to adding a twist of taste and sophistication to traditional rum drinks. The premium rum also comes highly recommended by Wine Enthusiast Magazine, with a “Superb Rating” (90-95).
